Is the PAX 3 worth it

The PAX 3 is one of the most popular vaporizers on the market. But is it worth the price?

After spending a month puffing on this device, I’m certainly convinced.

This high-end vaporizer offers an excellent vaping experience. It has a sleek design, is easy to use, and produces great vapor.

The device also comes with a lot of features, including a smartphone app, and adjustable temperature settings. And I can’t forget about the hybrid flower-concentrate capabilities.

The biggest downside to the Pax 3 is the price. It’s one of the most expensive portable vaporizers on the market. But if you’re looking for a top-of-the-line device, there’s no denying: the PAX 3 is definitely worth the investment.

Here’s a list of the features that make the PAX 3 vaporizer one of the best portable dry herb and concentrate hybrid vapes on the market today.

PAX 3 Features to Consider

Flower & Concentrate Compatibility

One of the best features of the PAX 3 is its ability to vaporize both dry herbs and concentrate material. This gives you plenty of options when it comes to what type of material you want to vape.

The concentrate chamber has made a world of difference in the way I vape; before the PAX 3, I wasn’t a big fan of concentrates. Dabs are too intense for my liking. But throw a little extract in this vape? I’m sold.

I’ve also found that hash works well in the PAX 3 concentrate chamber. I was fortunate enough to find some Nepali hash that’s beyond smooth with a nice, earthy flavor profile. If you have the opportunity to grab some hash, toss it in the PAX 3 and give it a taste.

Haptic Feedback

One of the PAX 3’s coolest features is its haptic feedback. This quick little buzz let’s you know when the device has reached your desired temperature.

This feature is great because it takes the guesswork out of using the device. No more checking the LED light to see if it’s reached your ideal temp; just wait for the vibration and you’re good to go.

High-Polished Anodized Aluminum Shell

The PAX 3 is encased in a high-polished anodized aluminum shell. This gives the device a sleek, premium look and feel. I immediately noticed how the matte finish feels great in my hand. And as a guy with sweaty hands, I’ve also found this helps to hide fingerprints and smudges.

15-Second Heat Up

PAX has upgraded its device since the PAX 2; the PAX 3 only takes 15 seconds to heat up. That’s a significant decrease from the 30-60 second heat-up time on other portable vaporizers. The PAX 2 actually takes 60 seconds to heat up, which is why I chose to order the 3 instead.

This is a great feature for those who want to take quick hits throughout the day. I often find myself taking quick 5-10 minute vape breaks at work, and the PAX 3’s quick heat-up time is perfect for those short yet sweet sessions.

4 Temperature Settings

The PAX 3 comes with four pre-set temperature settings and one customizable setting. The four presets are as follows:

Standard Mode

Standard mode uses lip sensing technology to increase oven temperature once your lips are detected. Then, it automatically cools if your lips haven’t touched the device in 20 seconds.

Boost Mode

Boost mode is a setting for increased vapor production. It even maintains the preferred temperature setting.

Efficiency Mode

In efficiency mode, you’ll find the oven temperature increase by 1 degree every two seconds. This ensures vapor production remains consistent throughout each sesh.

Flavor Mode

In flavor mode, your PAX 3 will heat and cool down rapidly. This maximizes your flavor and vapor production.

Stealth Mode

Stealth mode keeps the device at a lower temperature while encouraging rapid cool-downs. The LED indicator light becomes dim and the device turns standby mode on within 15 seconds of wait time.

Full-Color LED Interface Indicating Battery Life & Temperature

The PAX 3 has a full-color LED interface that tells you everything you need to know about your device. This includes the current battery life and temperature.

If you see one green petal, the PAX 3 is on the low-temperature setting (360°F/182°C). Two yellow petals mean it’s on the medium-temperature setting (380°F/193°C). Three orange petals mean it’s on the device’s high-temperature setting (400°F/204°C). Then, four red petals mean it’s on the max temperature setting (420°F/215°).

The LED interface is one of my favorite features on the PAX 3. It makes using the device so much easier and more enjoyable. I always know what to expect with each draw, and it’s an all-around intuitive device I’m happy to own.

Internal Accelerometer for Energy & Material Conservation

The PAX 3 is equipped with an internal accelerometer. This means the device can tell when it’s being used and will enter standby mode when it’s not.

Not only does this help to conserve your battery life, but it also helps to preserve your material. If you’re taking a quick break between draws, the PAX 3 will go into standby mode and stop heating. That way, your material won’t be wasted and you can pick up right where you left off.

How Long Will a PAX 3 Last?

While the PAX 3 is still quite new, one of the things that sold me on it is the 10-year warranty. The way I justified my purchase was that the warranty guarantees my device for 10 years. At $250 for the whole kit, this works out to just $25 annually to get the best portable vaporizer on the market.

Other than the fantastic warranty, I’ve read that the PAX devices tend to last most people around 5-7 years with regular use. The only thing I would caution is that you treat your device with care. The more you drop it, the sooner it will start to show wear and tear. But it’s also important to clean it with alcohol every so often.

So, Is the PAX 3 Worth The Price?

So, is the Pax 3 worth the expense? If you’re looking for a top-quality vaporizer with all the bells and whistles, then yes, it’s definitely worth the price.

But if you’re on a budget, there are other great options available that will still give you a great vaping experience.

In my opinion, the PAX 3 is worth every penny. It’s an investment that will last you for years to come, and it’s a vaporizer I would recommend to anyone seeking a top-notch experience.
